Laryngoscope blades and handles as sources of cross-infection: an integrative review

喉頭鏡のブレードとハンドルは血液、体液、および微生物により汚染されていることが知られており、臨床使用時に重要な感染源となり得るが、その洗浄・消毒のための効率的な手順は標準化されていないことが報告されている。本稿の目的は、喉頭鏡のブレードとハンドルが患者への汚染源となるリスクに関する文献から、エビデンスの評価を行うことである。Medline、LILACS、SciELO、Cochrane Library、BDENF、および PubMed などのデータベースと、Medical Subject Headings（MeSH）のキーワードを用いて、文献の統合的レビューを実施した。1994 年から 2012 年に発表された 20 報の論文を対象とした。これらの研究では、交差感染のリスクがあること、および喉頭鏡の洗浄・消毒に関する現行のガイドラインには一致した見解がないことが示されていた。結論として、埋めるべき重大なギャップが存在していること、および喉頭鏡のブレードとハンドルを洗浄・消毒する効率的な手順の標準化を推進するための、またそれによって患者や医療チームが曝露を受ける潜在的リスクを低下させるための研究が緊要であることが挙げられる。
