The role of ‘no-touch’ automated room disinfection systems in infection prevention and control

背景
一部の医療関連感染では、病院内の表面汚染が病原体の伝播に関与している。ある種の院内感染病原体の保菌・感染患者が使用していた病室への入院は、その後の使用者の感染リスクが高い。したがって、このような患者の病室では、最終消毒を改善する必要がある。従来の消毒法には、消毒薬の適切な選択・調製、散布、および接触時間を消毒実施者に依存しているという限界があると考えられる。こうした問題は、「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置を使用することによって軽減することが可能である。
目的
「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置に関する既報データについてまとめること。
方法
Pubmed により関連論文を検索した。
結果
消毒の水準を改善し、前の入院患者によって増加したリスクを軽減させるために多くの「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置が開発されており、これによって適切な散布、接触時間、および操作の反復を消毒実施者に依存する必要がなくなるか、あるいは依存度が低下している。利用可能な「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置には、蒸気化過酸化水素装置、過酸化水素エアロゾル（aHP）、および紫外線照射などがある。これらの装置は活性物質、散布メカニズム、有効性、操作時間、および使いやすさが大きく異なる。一般に、「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置では時間と有効性は両立しない。装置を選択する際は、意図する使用方法、エビデンスに基づく有効性、操作の実用性、および経済的な制約を勘案すべきである。
結論
「非接触式」室内自動消毒装置は、感染予防・制御のための有用な手段として受け入れられつつある。
