Surveillance programme for multidrug-resistant bacteria in healthcare-associated infections: an urban perspective in South Brazil

多剤耐性菌が公衆衛生上の問題となっており、世界保健機関（WHO）は、医療関連感染症の原因菌としての多剤耐性菌を制御するための措置をとることを推奨している。本研究では、ブラジルのクリチバ市で実施されている医療関連感染の原因菌としての多剤耐性菌のサーベイランスプログラムについて述べる。2010 年 1 月から、肺炎、血流感染症、尿路感染症、および手術部位感染症の多剤耐性菌について調査が行われている。医療関連感染症で最も頻度が高い多剤耐性菌は、カルバペネム耐性アシネトバクター・バウマニー（Acinetobacter baumannii）および第三世代セフェム系薬耐性肺炎桿菌（Klebsiella pneumoniae）であった。病院や公衆衛生領域で実施される感染制御策の策定が進捗している。本稿で提示したデータは、ブラジルの一都市で実施された多剤耐性菌サーベイランスプログラムによる多剤耐性菌の分布状況、およびこのプログラムの有用性を示すものである。

本論文は、市の保健局によって構築された地域での耐性菌の疫学データを把握するためのプログラムの 3 年間の結果である。サーベイランスの結果は毎月共有され、感染対策の向上に反映されている。地域ネットワークのあり方の 1 つとして参考になる。
