種々の院内病原菌に対する過酸化水素、Ecasol、および Citrox エアロゾルによる殺菌能の評価を行った。過酸化水素による殺菌作用が最も高レベルであったが、取り扱い上の問題があるため使用は限られる。Ecasol はクロストリジウム・ディフィシル（Clostridium difficile）を除くすべての細菌に対して有効であったが、Citrox エアロゾルはグラム陰性菌に対する有効性は認められなかった。
