Nosocomial outbreak of Myroides odoratimimus urinary tract infection in a Tunisian hospital

チュニジアの病院の泌尿器科で発生したミロイデス・オドラティミマス（Myroides odoratimimus）（旧名 Flavobacterium odoratum）による尿路感染症の院内アウトブレイクについて報告する。2010 年 5 月から 11 月に M. odoratimimus 分離株 7 株が尿から回収された。パルスフィールド・ゲル電気泳動法により、これらの分離株は近縁クローンと考えられる 2 群に明確に分類され、両群は分離された期間が異なっていた。1 例を除く全患者に尿路結石があり、泌尿器内視鏡手術を受けていた。M. odoratimimus 分離株はいずれも、検査したすべての抗菌薬に耐性を示した。患者 3 例はシプロフロキサシンとリファンピシンによる治療が成功した。M. odoratimimus は重篤かつ長期的な尿路感染症の院内アウトブレイクを引き起こす可能性があることを、臨床医は認識すべきである。
