Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection – the infectious stigma of our time?

本稿では、感染症患者の隔離に関する倫理的側面について論じる。メチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus；MRSA）感染患者の拡大防止に関する 2 か国のガイドラインのテキスト解析を行った。本解析から、いずれのガイドラインも疫学と感染症に関する最新の科学的エビデンスに基づいてはいるが、隔離やその他の拘束下での治療・ケアにかかわる種々の問題に対する倫理的考察が明確には行われていないことが示された。文書化されたガイドラインは医療従事者の省察や学習に重要な骨格をもたらすと考えられることから、このようなガイドラインは北欧のみならず国際的にも、隔離患者に関する個々のリスクアセスメントの中に倫理的考察をいかに組み入れていくことができるかを示すべきである。
