Triclosan-tolerant bacteria: changes in susceptibility to antibiotics

殺生物剤耐性が抗菌薬感受性に及ぼす影響については明確な意見の一致が得られていない。本研究では、トリクロサン耐性菌の種々の抗菌薬に対する感受性を明らかにするために、大腸菌（Escherichia coli）、黄色ブドウ球菌（Staphylococcus aureus）、およびアシネトバクター・ジョンソニー（Acinetobacter johnsonii）のトリクロサン耐性菌株と感受性菌株を比較した。トリクロサンの最小発育阻止濃度は液体希釈法および寒天希釈法により測定した。英国抗菌化学療法学会のガイドラインに従って抗菌薬感受性を判定した。いずれのトリクロサン耐性菌株も抗菌薬耐性は認められず、また全体としても、トリクロサン耐性菌株が感受性菌株と比較して阻止帯が有意に狭いという傾向はみられなかった。トリクロサン耐性大腸菌株は、アミノグリコシド系抗菌薬に対する感受性が有意に高かった。大腸菌についてトリクロサン耐性が生じる機序は、アミノグリコシド感受性と関連するようである。この関連には、外膜の変化あるいはプラスミドの喪失が寄与していると考えられる。

トリクロサンは、わが国では薬用石けん（0.3％トリクロサン含有）に用いられることの多い殺菌薬であり、欧米においては0.3％あるいは2％含有洗浄剤が医療機関における衛生的手洗いや手術時手洗いなどに繁用されている。トリクロサンは一般細菌に対する殺菌力があり、特にブドウ球菌をはじめとするグラム陽性菌に優れた効力をもつ抗菌成分である。
