HIV/AIDS and exposure of healthcare workers to body fluids in Ethiopia: attitudes toward universal precautions

HIV/AIDSのパンデミック状態にあるエチオピアでは、医療従事者の普遍的予防策に取り組む態度に関する研究は行われていない。エチオピア東部の2地域で、普遍的予防策と血液・体液への曝露に関する医療従事者の知識と認識を調査した。19か所の医療施設の全医療従事者を調査対象とし、アンケートによりデータを収集した。記述統計学的解析とロジスティック回帰による多変量解析を実施した。その結果、普遍的予防策に関する医療従事者の知識と認識は不十分であり、過去1年間の針刺し損傷発生率は29.1％であった（95％信頼区間24.2～34.0）。エチオピアの医療従事者には、施策とより集中的な訓練が求められる。

日本のドクターやナースの中にも、これと変わらない現象をみてとることができます。別にエチオピアだけの問題ではないと思います。そういった人たちに限って、HIV陽性者の採血は拒否したいといったりしますので、教育による啓発が何より大切です。
