Evaluation of a training programme on knowledge and compliance of nurse assistants’ hand hygiene in nursing homes

本研究の目的は、手指消毒の総合的な看護助手用研修プログラムが、看護助手の知識と遵守、およびナーシングホーム入居者の感染率に及ぼす影響を調べることである。台湾北部の3つの長期ケア施設で介入を実施した。看護助手40名が、1時間の職場講習会および30分の実地研修からなる手指消毒研修プログラムに参加した。人口統計学的データおよび手指消毒に関する看護助手の知識と遵守のデータを収集し、さらに入居者の感染率を算出した。手指消毒研修3カ月後には、介入前と比較して看護助手の知識は有意に増加し（13.82から15.41、P＜0.001）、コンプライアンスも有意に改善した（9.34％から30.36％、P＜0.001）。入居者の感染率は、1.74％（2004年12月～2005年2月）および2.04％（2005年6月～8月）から1.52％（2005年12月～2006年2月）に減少した（P＜0.001）。
