Comparison of the microbicidal efficacy on germ carriers of several tertiary amine compounds with ortho-phthalaldehyde and Perasafe

高レベルの消毒薬（HLD）として数種類の第三級アミン製剤が販売されている。本研究ではそれらの製剤と、HLDとして使用されている製品2種類［オルトフタルアルデヒド（OPA）とPerasafe］とを比較した。比較のため、金属製の微生物担体を使用した52株の微生物に対する殺菌効果の判定、市販の微生物担体（3M社の発売する芽胞）を使用した殺芽胞効果の判定、およびヒトの血液を付着させた外科用メスに対する腐食試験を行った。
　OPAとPerasafeは、検査を行ったすべての第三級アミン製剤よりも有意に効果が高く、接触時間10分以内で作用がみられたが、他の製剤では20分を要した。グラム陰性菌の場合は、Instrunet FAでの20分の時点と、OPAとPerasafeの10分の時点とを比較して有意な差は認められなかった。検査を行ったアミン類の中では、全体の殺菌効果に有意差はなかった。第三級アミン製剤とは異なり、OPAとPerasafeはマイコバクテリウム（Mycobacterium）属に対して効果があった（接触時間15分）が、殺芽胞効果はなかった。すべての薬剤（第三級アミン製剤1種類を除く）が、腐食試験に合格した。
　結論として、OPAとPerasafeはHLDであると判定することができる。しかし、15～20分の接触時間が必要であり、どちらの製剤にも欠点がある。
