エタノール含有率を低下させた新規手指消毒剤の殺ウイルス作用：他のアルコール製剤との比較 ★

エタノール含有量を低下させ（55％）、10％プロパン-1-オール、5.9％プロパン-1,2ジオール、5.7％ブタン-1,3-ジオール、および0.7％リン酸を配合した新規製剤は、広域の殺ウイルス作用を示した。定量的懸濁試験において、本剤は蛋白質添加の有無のいずれの場合も、エンベロープを有する7種のウイルス（インフルエンザAおよびBウイルス、単純ヘルペス1および2ウイルス、牛コロナウイルス、RSウイルス、ワクシニアウイルス、B型肝炎ウイルス、牛ウイルス性下痢ウイルス）およびエンベロープをもたない4種のウイルス（A型肝炎ウイルス、ポリオウイルス、ロタウイルス、猫カリシウイルス）の感染力価を30秒以内に103以上減少させた。比較試験において、同程度の作用を示したのは95％エタノールのみであった。
フィンガーパッド試験において、ポリオウイルス1型（Sabin）の感染力価の30秒での対数減少率は、本製剤は3.04を示したのに対して、60％イソプロピルアルコールでは1.32であった。猫カリシウイルスに対する試験では、本製剤により2.38の対数減少率を示した。一方、70％エタノールおよび70％プロパン-1-オールによる対数減少率はそれぞれ0.68および0.70であった。
